One of the Pleasant Dale Park
District’s community centers lacked direction
and revenue. An Operations Efficiency Audit revealed
a lack of cohesion and what might set the center
apart from chain competitors. The audit included
SWOT analysis, other recreation provider investigations,
administration interviews, front desk operations,
financial and operational analysis, and current
programming examination. To increase revenue and
influence participation, recommendations and a business
plan were created to enhance the facility in conjunction
with expense prudence. An Experience Planning Workshop
was later conducted to focus on the enhancement
of programs for all the facilities. A Personnel
Search was later conducted to find an appropriate
Athletic Supervisor candidate. Strategic Planning
was the next step in bringing about renewal and
direction throughout the park district.
